Nothing reinforces the virtues we aim to instill in our students quite like the drive to excel in competition. Those who embrace the challenge test themselves against the top competitors from other dojos. Beyond the additional training opportunities, competing offers the added benefit of forming new connections and relationships with fellow martial artists. Below are highlights from some of our recent events. 

October 2024 - WKC World Karate Championships - Albufeira, Portugal

Our team: 1 competitor Medal count: 2   (1 Gold, 1 bronze)

Sept 2024 - Gateway Championships - WKC Northern Circuit

Our team: 10 competitors Medal count: 18   (8 Gold, 2 Silver, 8 bronze)

May 2024 - WKC National Championships - Team Canada Trials

Our team: 4 competitors Medal count:  1 bronze, 4 fourths place finishes, 2 alternates positions

April 2024 - Collingwood Karate/Kobudo Championships

Our team: 14 competitors Medal count: 31  (16 gold, 8 silver, 5 bronze, 2 pewter)

April 2024 - Nickel City Provincial Championships (WKC)

Our team: 17 competitors Medal count: 43  (13 gold, 15 silver, 10 bronze, 5 pewter)
